I would use “en cours” :

  • Téléchargement en cours
  • Redémarrage en cours
  • Réglage de vos préférences en cours

Which means literally “… in progress”.

It seems that sometimes the corresponding noun is used:

  • Téléchargement…
  • Redémarrage…
  • Enregistrement…
